An exciting opportunity has arisen at and up and coming challenger bank who are seeking a strong accountant on a contract basis.

This role would suit a recently qualified accountant who is looking to grow, develop and expand their knowledge of accounting and regulatory reporting by learning on the job, in a banking environment.

It will be an outstanding learning opportunity as you'll work very closely not only with the CFO and senior finance team but also have a lot of interaction with treasury, operations and the business. As the bank is growing and adding more products to its portfolio this will give the successful candidate a chance to see the bigger picture of what makes the bank tick and understand the mechanics behind how everything works.

The main duties will include but not limited to daily PnL & B/S reporting (reviewing the financial movements and security positions), management accounting, regulatory reporting under COREP for capital and liquidity, supporting head of financial reporting in automating financial reporting and development work around the financial systems and processes.

To be considered for this contract opportunity you must fulfil the following requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
• Knowledge and experience of banking products (worked in or audited a bank)
• You must have experience of statutory accouting or regulatory reporting
• Have a can do attitude, appetite to learn and solve complex accounting problems

Although this is a contract opportunity there is a strong possibility of the role converting from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

Duration: 6 months+

Day Rate: £300-325pd Ltd Company depending on experience
