Marks Sattin are partnered with a global leading accountancy firm that are recruiting a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager into their Midlands team based out of their Birmingham office.

They are a growing service line and want motivated professionals with client facing experience to join the team.

In this varied and commercial role, you can expect the following:

  • They will empower you to act as trusted business advisers to their clients
  • Give responsibility for all aspects of accounts compilations for small and micro companies under the audit threshold (FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105)
  • Present opportunities to attend and participate in client meetings
  • You will be trusted to oversee a portfolio of clients
  • Working with internal teams such as tax, growth finance and audit to maximise client's service offerings

They are ideally looking for:

  • Experience of working in an accounts team having a clear understanding of client deliverables and produce written reports, accounts and working papers to a good standard
  • A genuine interest in their clients with an ability to confidently discuss business challenges and needs
  • They have an open and collaborative culture and as such, you will need the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • An interest in maintaining and developing your technical knowledge in order to facilitate and lead valuable discussions with our clients

Education and qualifications

  • Professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA (will consider candidates nearing the end of a professional qualification)
  • Intermediate Excel skills are essential
