A client of ours in the venture capital space is looking to expand its London office through the hiring of a senior accountant. The role offers the opportunity to break into this lucrative sector, leveraging off your previous accounting experience in an environment which offers great exposure.

The company in question are a private family investment office with a diversified portfolio of private equity and real estate investments. They have a real focus on start-up companies offering anyone with a passion for this space the chance to work with interesting and dynamic businesses.

Your main duties would revolve around managing accounts for a number of companies but the role would be broad in scope; you would be responsible for the creation of financial forecasts, cash flow management, budgeting and financial planning as well as the review and presentation of financial reports.

You would have a high degree of autonomy with the opportunity to work closely with the managing director or private equity team of the relevant portfolio company, assisting them in presenting relevant material to stakeholders and members of the board. When the opportunity arises you would assist in preparing any business in the portfolio for sale.

They are looking for either a recently qualified ACA from a mid-tier practice or an ACCA/CIMA with strong experience in company accounting.

Remuneration in the region of £55,000 with competitive bonus and an 8% pension.
