Job Title: Senior Fund Accountant | Private Equity Funds | Permanent | Dublin | Negotiable Salary

My client, based in Dublin, are currently recruiting for a Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity Funds to join their private equity fund accounting team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have strong fund accounting experience and they must be a qualified accountant. This a key team within the organisation and they have impressive growth plans for the future.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly and Quarterly reporting pack preparation
• Maintain the general ledger and various sub ledgers
• Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations
• Income and Expense Accruals
• Capital Activity processing
• Management Fee and Waterfall calculations
• Partner Allocation calculations
• Prepare and review trial balances
• Financial Statement preparation with footnotes
• Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables
• Act as liaison to various internal and external parties
• Interact directly with senior management and clients with appropriate escalation
• Provide technical accounting knowledge to clients
• Coordinate with Onboarding team, Tax group, Investor Relations group, Financial Statement group
• Prepare and review capital calls, distributions, and statements
• Review private equity fund clients limited partnership agreements
• Implementation of fund structures
• Coach, develop and train staff
• Ad hoc reports and client requests

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 4/5 years experience in a Hedge Fund Accounting or Financial Reporting environment is essential
• Qualified Accountant with Hedge funds exposure is essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Attention to detail
• A 'team player' who can work well within the function to deliver a quality service
