Start your job searchThe Senior Auditor will be a key member of the audit team delivering predominantly corporate and IT audits to inform senior management about the effectiveness and associated risks of various aspects of business, and facilitate operating improvements to help the business achieve its revenue and growth objectives and deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Deliver audit assignments to contribute to the completion of the annual audit plan, including:
- Business assurance audits over head office functions e.g. marketing, purchasing
- IT general controls audits and specialist topical audits e.g. network security, logical access, application controls, supplier reviews
- Design effective plans for improvement in risk areas identified within audits to ensure that risk is reduced and commercial improvements delivered as a result of audit work.
- Support business process owners in implementing improvement plans to ensure that improvements are delivered in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Contribute to ongoing risk review and management of the audit universe.
- On an ad hoc basis act as audit manager to deliver audits involving multiple audit staff members across corporate, IT and operational audit plans.
- Act as a liaison point with external auditors and regulators during the conduct of relevant statutory, regulatory and ad hoc audits.
- Contribute to the development of the annual Audit Plan and the reporting to Audit Committee.
- Work with key stakeholders to scope audits to meet management's needs and react to ad hoc risk assurance requirements.
- Support security, compliance, fraud and investigatory work undertaken by other specialist departments.
You will be:
- Fully Qualified Auditor, preferably with CISA qualification
- Minimum 3 years in audit, preferably with experience of working in an internal audit function
- Degree educated or equivalent demonstration of academic skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify issues and opportunities are essential
- Experience of auditing businesses with considerable online operations is useful
- Experience within the gambling industry would be advantageous but other retail based industries would also offer relevancy
