Operational Risk Manager - Head of Function - Global Investment Manager.

Our client is a newly established Global Investment Manager based in Dublin city centre. They take an innovative approach to the market and deliver key value especially during periods of market volatility and dislocations.

Keen to develop a strong footprint in the domestic they are now seeking to attract and experience Operational Risk professional who can demonstrate strong risk analytics skills but also work in a dynamic and fluid environment.

The role at a glance:

  • Raise awareness and increase understanding of the investment risk profile (market, liquidity and counterparty risks) across European portfolios, and convert output from risk analytics solutions into meaningful insight/analysis, to enable an independent review and effective challenge of risks taken across the suite of investment products
  • Provide expertise in liquidity risk management good practice in the context of UCITS and other European regulations
  • Stay abreast of upcoming regulations in Europe relevant to investment risk (e.g. ESMA Guidelines on liquidity stress testing in UCITS and AIFs), and drive risk management activities to satisfy required investment risk requirements ahead of deadlines.
  • Lead risk governance activities in support of relevant risk committees
  • Roll out key control initiatives to enhance the control environment

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Risk professional with at least 8 years' experience in the market to take a serious step forward in your career even during a period of global uncertainty, which our client is well adverse to and thrives on. You will ideally be PCF 39 and have a strong academic background culminating in a level 9 masters.
