My client is seeking a enthusiastic and experience accounts payable assistant to joint heir finance team as a sole in charge AP Assistant. You will play a key role as the business partner for all accounts payable queries, so must be able to build good relationships with wider business colleagues and suppliers.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Sort, code and post all invoices and author advances ensuring coding and descriptive information is correct and included
• Prepare and process foreign and urgent/one-off transfers through JPM
• Prepare and perform check runs
• Prepare and administer the weekly BACS run
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and supplier statements
• Research and resolve any invoice discrepancies and issues
• Provide cash flow updates for expected payments at month end
• Ensure that invoices are posted in the correct period and paid within payment terms
• Maintain accurate internal records in line with departmental procedures
• Manage petty cash
• Assist with the annual audit
• Ensure correct allocation of direct debits against supplier Invoices
• Respond in an efficient professional manner to supplier account queries by telephone or email
• Open and distribute the post within the Finance Team
• Provide systems training to all new joiners on how to raise PO's within finance system

To be successful in this Accounts Payable Clerk you must:

• Have previous Accounts Payable experience;

• Have demonstrated attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
• Systems Experience (Desirable): Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Concur Employee Payment
