Solutions Architect - £650 per day (inside IR35)

A pan UK organisation undertaking one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe, is currently looking for a Solutions Architect on an initial 3 month contract basis. The role is fully remote, but the expectation is that there may be a requirement to be in the Birmingham office in the future for one day a week, subject to government guidelines.

The firm requires a very well rounded Solution Architect and the main remit of the role is to work on multiple projects and support the business on a number of key initiatives around IT platforms, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders (internal and external) to develop IT solutions to deliver business capabilities.
• Be responsible for the development, delivery and governance of IT Solution Building Block's as part of an agile Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Be accountable for defining domain-specific, policies, processes, frameworks and design principles according to business vision and goals, ensuring applications and infrastructure are fit for purpose, interoperable, and secure.
• To be responsible for ensuring that systems are designed to be secure and resilient through the effective application of Enterprise Architecture principles, policies and standards.

Skills Required

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, ideally with exposure to master data management and integration
• Experience of designing and implementing IT platforms or product Solution Building Blocks, and presenting and communicating complex technical models clearly.
• Experience of applying architecture methods and approaches to complex scenarios.
• Knowledge and / or experience of Azure would be advantageous, as would working within a government / government framework environment
