Marks Sattin are recruiting exclusively for a Supply Chain Finance Controller for a leading international business and household brand name with a major presence in the Yorkshire region. This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come into this fast paced business and have full ownership of the supply chain / logistics operation. This is an autonomous position working in a very grown up environment where autonomy is given and work life balance encouraged. There is a formal flexible working policy in place across the finance team:

Role Overview:

  • To provide a high quality, professional and responsive financial analysis, insight and decision making support service to the management team, inspiring business improvement and project delivery.
  • To ensure the timely presentation of financial information to promote and facilitate initiatives that add value to the sites' operations and supply chain.
  • To identify and implement improvements in the effectiveness of people, systems & processes, profit and working capital & cash.
  • To prepare and present financial analysis and insight to promote and facilitate business improvement initiatives to the site's operations and supply chain, including analysis & measurement of 'ground performance'.
  • To take a leading and pro-active role in driving the site cost reduction Profit Improvement Plan (PIP), coordinate project ideas for the site, evaluate financial implications and report achievements against plan. Adopt and encourage a continuous improvement philosophy.
  • To represent the Operations Finance team on cross-functional projects and to lead any nominated actions, and to update the team on progress and developments.

To be considered:

A qualified accountant (ACMA, ACA, ACCA), ideally from an FMCG/Manufacturing/Consumer Goods/ Retail background. You will ideally have experience in supply chain/logistics (multi-site experience) and a desire to drive change and add value.
