A leading FMCG business in Birmingham are looking to recruit a qualified Tax Accountant to ensure that the corporation tax requirements of the group are met.

Key duties as Tax Accountant include:

• Preparation of UK corporate tax returns
• Examination of underlying financial data
• Tax compliance is to be carried out in line with timescales agreed both internally within the Group Tax function and externally and in accordance with statutory deadlines
• Assists the Tax Manager with HMRC correspondence. Which may involve some technical research as well as liaising with stakeholders
• All correspondence must be of a high technical standard and information must be clearly communicated
• Assists the Tax Manager and other team members in the financial reporting processes, including month end reporting as well as year-end reporting carried out in accordance with a timetable published by Group Finance.
• Maintain an understanding of accounting and an appreciation of financial accounting processes, as well as an understanding of the consolidation process.
• Works with all stakeholders of the Group Tax function to ensure the aims and objectives of the department are met, including self-guidance to keep up-to-date with technical developments and legislation changes and also including opportunities to make presentations to other team members or people within the businesses on particular topics
  
  To be considered for the position of Tax Accountant, candidates must be/have:
  
  
• ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified
• Ideally actively studying CTA or completed your CTA
• This role would be well suited to a Top 10 trained Tax Accountant looking for their first role within industry
  
  Package on offer for the successful Tax Accountant:

• Up to £47,000 basic
