The Technology Innovation Manager is a key leadership role focused on delivering business transformation internally and externally through prototyping, piloting, development & scaling of user-centric digital products as well as implementing new & emerging technologies.
Their role will work closely with the business relationship management, software development, solution design teams and agile project manager to build, manage & deliver a balanced portfolio of strategic and tactical digital & innovation projects, working closely with suppliers, business stakeholders and team members to scope, plan and deliver change as well as supporting existing solutions through continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Be a highly technical, hands-on coder and an effective people manager.
- Lead an innovation focused solutions design team and a software development team.
- Deliver a portfolio of innovation projects into BAU.
- Scale digital product prototypes into production.
- Introduce and coach modern DevOps methodologies including related technologies such as containerisation to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Scan and leverage cross-industry trends in new & emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science to apply in the context of accountancy and professional services.
- Drive the strategic direction of the firm's products & services taking into account emerging and legacy technologies.
- Technical Leadership - you will be responsible for co-developing the digital strategy. You will be responsible for the quality and technical approach taken by the tech teams, ensuring it is in-line with the company strategy - and that projects are delivered to the technical standards set by the team.
Key skills/Experience - Required
- Lead architect/engineer role previous background experience.
- Proven track record of successfully building and delivering digital products (mobile & web apps and services) to market using agile methodologies, including scaling from prototype to production & BAU.
- Working knowledge of React, Javascript and other relevant technologies.
- Experience with big data and analytics projects.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of RPA, data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Key skills/Experience - Preferred
- BSc / MSc in Computer Science with a required minimum of 10 years of applicable industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience of Blockchain technologies advantageous.
- Experience building Fin-tech and Reg-tech products advantageous.
