Test Lead / Manager - Workday / HR cloud systems

An international business services company is currently looking to hire a Test Lead for an initial 6 month contract based in West London.

The main remit of the role will be to ensure that new functionality being deployed to end users - in particular the new Workday HR system - has been adequately tested, is fit for purpose and meets all the business requirements and quality attributes defined by the business and QA streams respectively.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • To deliver and own the Test Strategy and manage the delivery of activities and resources within the QA Workstream.
  • Responsible for the strategy and approach to Integration Testing.
  • Responsible for describing the approach and requirements for using data during testing
  • Execution of reporting and documentation required from the QA Workstream
  • Design of the test approach and plan for all testing phases
  • Assessing all test related risks and managing mitigation and issues
  • Work with BSI to source/deploy the relevant Testing tool if required
  • To liaise with external parties (e.g. payroll and benefit providers) to ensure relevant testing, data and environments are available
  • To own the escalation process for testing
  • To define and adhere to the test entry and exit criteria
  • To ensure the quality of all QA deliverables from 3rd parties meets BSI expectations
  • Own the management and status of UAT
  • Travel may be required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience of leading testing across large Cloud HR software implementation projects - preferably Workday but not essential
  • Extensive experience of dealing with complex payroll integrations to and from an HR System
  • Extensive experience leading all QA activities on global (>3000 staff headcount) HR projects
  • Experience testing Tier 1 systems, for example SAP or Oracle Fusion
  • Professional and effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers
  • Stakeholder management and adoption of an appropriate Governance model within testing
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and ensuring quality of deliverables meet expectations
