A large construction organisation are looking to bring on a Trainee Accountant as part of their expansion of the finance team.

Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of the monthly management accounts and analysis, and will support the maintenance of accounting schedules and information.

Duties include:

• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and analysis packs
• Assist with the preparation of the individual Partner transactions summaries
• Control account reconciliations, including but not limited to: fixed assets, sundry debtors, intercompany accounts, client accounts, bank and cash, leases and loans
• Preparation of the group's VAT returns and EC Sales Lists as appropriate (UK and Europe)
• Preparation of the monthly budget holder analysis for review
• Processing journal entries into the financial records of the company as required
• Maintaining the internal purchase order procedure
• Assist with the preparation of the year-end audit file
• Assist with the review of transactions, including journals, expenses, mileage, and credit card claims
• Assist with accounting for European entities

The successful candidate will be part qualified (CIMA/ACCA) and have strong excel skills - Pivot tables/V-lookups.
