Start your job searchA top accountancy firm based in London is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their VAT Team. The role will advise clients and staff of the VAT team on matters of indirect taxation and European compliance. This role is due to be 6 - 12 months in duration with a strong potential for permanency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, structure and provide VAT advice on all transactions to clients
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of VAT and Intrastat returns for own clients and to support other team member's clients
- Assist the Associate Director on various tasks including credibility checking the VAT returns and other indirect tax reports
- To keep the firm and clients up to date with taxation standard and developments
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA accountant or qualified by experience
- Previous VAT experience working in practise is desirable
- Time management and ability to prioritise work load effectively
- Must have superb accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - Written and Verbal
