Start your job searchWorking exclusively with a highly reputable and market leading business, Marks Sattin is recruiting for a VAT Compliance Manager. Working in a team of three, you will be responsible for ensuring the drive of information across the department.
With the business contemplating a systems update, you will play a pivotal role to ensure systems improvements and embrace the use of technology to create a best in class in-house VAT Compliance function.
You will mainly be focusing on developing and managing the in-house VAT compliance support function, driving the day to day activities and engaging with senior key stakeholders.
In the role you will have responsibilities for:
- Day to day management of the VAT compliance team
- Overseeing preparation and review of draft returns prior to business unit sign-off as well as the timely filing of these returns.
- Developing capabilities in the team to increase the number of entities supported by the VAT compliance team.
- Liaising with business units and IT teams to optimise reporting outputs for compliance
- First point of compliance contact for business units
The business would ideally seek someone who is qualified (ACA, CTA, ACCA) however if you have practical experience, they would like to assist the successful person in gaining a qualification.
You will have:
- Experience of working with EU VAT principles
- Prior experience of managing compliance processes
- Understanding of risk management frameworks
