Marks Sattin are currently working with a South Leeds based client who are looking for a full-time (flexi with hours if needed) standalone Finance Manager to produce their transactional accounts up to trial balance.

The company are a sub £10m SME distribution business in Leeds, and the role will report directly into the CEO and work alongside their external company accountant.

They are about to migrate their finance system to Xero, and it would be hugely beneficial if you had previous experience on Xero.

As the standalone Finance Manager, our client is looking to pay from £35k - £40k for an experienced candidate plus performance related bonuses.

Duties include:

• Daily / transactional finance duties
• Look after all payments / invoices, ensuring all suppliers are paid timely
• Full sales ledger responsibility, including issuing / submitting invoices, chasing debts, handling claims/debits
• Payroll duties
• Take responsibility for preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Maintain and organise all account records
• Set up agile and robust financial process, procedures, and make recommendations
• Bank reconciliations
• Submitting all accounts up to trial balance to submit to client.

What they are looking for:

• This person could hold an AAT accounting qualification or simply be qualified by experience.
• You will need proven experience managed the finance function for an SME business.
• You must be good with IT, competent with Excel and ideally have some experience with Xero or another similar finance system
