Corporate Tax Manager / West Yorkshire - Hybrid / £50,000 -£60,000 with Benefits

Marks Sattin are working exclusively with a leading Food business in Europe who are looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a fantastic business during a period of sustained growth. This opportunity offers the perfect learning ground for anyone looking to step into an in-house role by supporting the Head of Tax.

The Role:
This is an opportunity to work with various stakeholders across the board and gain exposure across various sectors. The role will primarily focus on UK corporate taxes, while there will be an expectation that assistance will be provided across other departments.


Day to Day includes:

  • Being responsible for continuous process improvement in the group tax function to maintain efficiency and effectiveness
  • Preparing tax provisions and tax notes to be included in the financial statements
  • Preparing quarterly and half yearly group tax provisions
  • Preparing some annual corporation tax computations and returns while liaising with advisers
  • Reviewing the monthly VAT returns for the group and any single entity returns
  • Preparing the group's annual PAYE Settlement Agreement
  • Providing tax input to any M&A activity
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and best practice
  • Being a key contact for the group's finance team, HMRC and external advisers

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA or CTA Qualified or working towards
  • Background in indirect or corporation tax from practice or industry
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
