Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a Credit Manager to join a rapidly growing manufacturing orgainsation based in Wakefield.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Credit Manger position and have significant experience of leading, motivating and developing a team to deliver excellent performance and customer service. The successful candidate will have worked in a finance environment and be able to show they have experience of implementing change, including new systems and processes and influencing others to deliver improvements. You will be success driven, ambitious and have the ability to hit the ground running. Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential and experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels.

To establish strong relationships with all stakeholders, for example, internal customers, external customers, taking care to understand their requirements and be able to explain and communicate the accounts receivable and cashiering strategies to them. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing the credit control function
  • Effectively managing UK and currency bank accounts to ensure that all payments received are correctly recorded and allocated.
  • Owning, driving, implementing improvements in the processes and work flows.
  • Chasing the collection of company debt
  • To provide Managers with full, concise weekly management reports on the delivery of the accounts receivable and cashiering team.
  • Allocating payments and remittances
  • Liaising with sales and other account teams to resolve queries
  • Month end reporting and reconciliations
  • Working to tight deadlines
