We are currently working with a pan-European real estate investment manager with investments spreading across both core and emerging markets throughout Europe. They are looking for an accountant to work with the fund accounting team, supporting the fund controller by overseeing the management of the fund and the financial and management reporting whilst also dealing with investors and getting involved in new and exciting deals.

This real estate fund manager has multiple investment strategies in a variety of real estate sectors with a head office located in central London. The company remains a boutique giving the successful candidate the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the entire company as the investment portfolio grows and to get involved with the multitude of investments taking place.

Aside from core accounting activities, the role itself will provide you with the opportunity to assist their asset manager in Luxemburg and to liaise with financial investors whilst analysing investment portfolios in detail. The role will allow the successful candidate the freedom to think creatively to improve current systems and controls in addition to giving you the opportunity to work both individually and as part of a team, driving new projects forward and motivating and managing others.

The business is looking for a newly qualified accountant ACCA/ACMA/ACA perhaps working for a competitor real estate fund or a Fund Accountant working for an administrator that is looking to move in-house. Due to the nature of the role previous experience real estate is key with experience dealing with funds essential as they are looking for someone able to get stuck into the business straight away.

They are keen for someone is bright and capable with strong analytical, numerical and IT skills alongside exceptional knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP. Strong interpersonal skills are also key with the ability to communicate throughout all business levels. This is an exceptional role where you could make a real difference.
