The role is necessary to assist the process of continuous improvement in relation to management information and reporting. A key focus will be the provision of management accounting reporting and supporting the operational teams to improve profitability through developing tighter cost controls and income recovery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monthly management accounting and forecasting within the prescribed timetable
• Provide financial support to the operational management teams
• Preparation of contract financial submissions for client reporting
• Maintaining the integrity of all financial information held
• Ensure company purchasing policy and procedures as adhered to
• Various ad hoc tasks supporting the wider finance team as requested by line manager.

Knowledge skills & experience

• Ability to review processes and recommend improvements
• Proven track record of working within a similar environment
• Strong Management accounting experience
• Strong communication skills
• Computer literate. Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word and Office

Person

• GCSE/CSE/O Level Standard in English and Mathematics or equivalent
• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA)
• A high degree of financial, commercial and customer awareness
• Excellent numerical and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a highly pressurised and dynamic environment
• Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues
