This is a chance to step into a pivotal compliance role at a global financial brokerage leader. You'll be supporting the Johannesburg office, and working at the centre of a fast-paced, multi-asset trading environment spanning fixed income, FX, equities and commodities. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the go-to advisor for a business that moves quickly and values regulatory insight!
Responsibilites
- Act as the primary compliance advisor to the Johannesburg team
- Ensure the business is aligned with the relevant regulations and regulators including JSA/JSA rules, FCSA and other brokerage regulations.
- Liaise with the regulators on a regular basis
- Strengthening the policies, procedures and controls across the business to ensure they are compliant
- Work closely with other stakeholders and teams to ensure global compliance
Requirements
- Experience in compliance within Financial Services (ideally a Brokerage, trading or capital markets firm)
- Strong understanding of the relevant regulations, especially JSE/JSA Rules and must have completed JSE Exams
- Has extensive experience working with the regulators, specifically FCSA
