The details

We are representing a market leading specialist insurer in their search for a Head of Legal - Commercial. You will be joining their growing Internal Legal Team based in their Manchester Office. This role is perfect for an experienced Commercial Lawyer interested in establishing a department within a growing and ambitious Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on general Commercial matters (predominantly privately funded) for an existing strong client base. This includes working on commercial contracts, GDPR and corporate transactions
  • Fostering and developing client relationships with existing clients
  • Bringing in new clients through business development and professional contacts
  • Managing and supporting a growing team once new hires are made
  • Co-operating with other legal divisions and stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • An experienced England and Wales Qualified Lawyer with a Commercial Legal background
  • Business Development expertise
  • Corporate transactional experience would be a plus

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer either in Private Practice or In-House, to join an organisation committed to giving you the autonomy to establish an offering and grow it.
