Our client is an award-winning Digital Acceleration Consultancy for Financial Services with a particular focus on rapidly driving business outcomes and modernising Financial Institutions through technology. We are seeking 3 highly skilled Data Modellers to join our Data Practice, the successful candidates will work for on-site at a Global Banking client. The Data Modellers will deliver under the banks internal Data Architect to design, develop, and implement data models that support the strategic objectives across Foreign Exchange (FX), Transaction Banking, and Party Data domains. This is a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Data Architect and business stakeholders to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Design and maintain data models that support FX, Transaction Banking, and Party data structures.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
  • Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture and industry best practices.
  • Implement data modelling standards, frameworks, and best practices to enhance data governance.
  • Define relationships between different data entities to support operational and analytical needs.
  • Assist in metadata management and data lineage documentation.
  • Work with data engineers and database administrators to optimise database structures for performance and scalability.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to validate data quality and completeness.
  • Provide expertise on regulatory compliance and risk management as it relates to data modelling.
  • Contributing to our internally built offerings as we build a collection of best-in-class solutions
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
  • Actively get involved in the new consulting community


Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Data Modeller within the banking sector.
  • Prior Experience / knowledge of Databricks and Snowflake
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar.
  • Experience working with data architectures in FX, Transaction Banking, and Party data domains.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and Big Data technologies is an advantage.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Ability to interpret and translate complex business requirements into efficient data structures.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, or similar) is a plus.
  • Degree level qualification
  • Excellent problem solving skills and evidenced ability to break problems down into logical steps
  • Excellent organiser and evidenced ability to co-ordinate and deliver complex outcomes.
