Birmingham Asian Business Chambers – Outstanding Large Business of the Year Award Recap

Matthew Wilcox our consultant managing the role

On Saturday 19 November 2016, Marks Sattin was honoured to be a finalist for the Birmingham Asian Business Chambers – Outstanding Large Business of the Year Award, an incredible achievement following our first anniversary in the city.

The chambers is a network aimed at finance and business leaders from the Birmingham area and we have found membership to be a fantastic way to meet other businesses in the local area who have had similar challenges and experienced growth in line with our strategy at Marks Sattin.

It was a real pleasure to meet those from a variety of business backgrounds and understand their journey as well as how the current economic environment has challenged them in what is a very competitive market place. Everyone who attended the awards dinner gave excellent feedback, they enjoyed the chance to share a drink (or two) with like-minded professionals as well as the food and cultural performances on the evening. We even met a Gordon Ramsey lookalike!

Networking remains a key part of recruitment, especially in a world where everything is done online or on the phone with little face time. We shall be hosting networking events coming up to Christmas and into the New Year, if you would like to attend or are interested in how Marks Sattin can help you or your business from a permanent or interim perspective in Birmingham, please email nirmal.mistry@markssattin.com.
