I think I’ve always enjoyed how relationship-led recruitment across the specialist markets sector is. Having spent so many years in this market it’s lovely to see candidates I place go on to become clients for me too!
What made Marks Sattin the right next step for you?
While not actively looking for a new role at the time, from the minute I met the team here I was hooked and knew it was the perfect next step. Everyone has been unbelievably welcoming and friendly which has made it such a fantastic experience so far.
What excites you most about joining the team in Leeds?
There’s an excellent energy in the office that makes the days go really quickly, it’s been a pleasant surprise to be surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy what they do!
How do you see the specialist markets landscape evolving over the next few years?
I think with AI and other technologies becoming more prevalent in the space it’s extremely important to not lose the human element (which is true for accounting and recruitment!)
What trends do you think will have the biggest impact on talent attraction in your sector?
I think clients within my sector can put themselves at a big advantage by investing in their benefits and wellness offerings. Salary will always be important, but in 2026 more candidates are asking about mindfulness and inclusivity.
What's something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a massive history guy, especially anything medieval, and love visiting castles up and down the UK.
