Start your job searchOur client are an exciting and interesting media organisation based in South Dubli City- this is a fantastic opportunity for an experience accounts admin, AP or AR candidate looking for growth and development. The Accounts Assistant will join an expanding Finance team, which currently consists of Finance Director, Financial accountant and part-qualified accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the financial accountant and Finance Director, the role will involve working across both Ireland and UK companies, in following areas:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation and annual audit
- Support Finance Director with ad hoc project work and tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Accounts Technician qualification/Part-qualification an advantage, but not essential.
- Experience in a previous AP/AR/Accounts Assistant role also an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, particularly Excel
- Experience with Sage accounts an advantage but not essential
- A strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and a general understanding of VAT is an advantage but not essential
- Quick learner and a willingness to assume responsibility, ownership and accountability
