This is an exciting Accounts Payable opportunity to join a leading Retail company, based in the heart of London. Working in a Finance team of 12, you will be working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

The role will intially be a 3 month temporary position, with the possibility of then being made permanent.

The key duties of the role are:

  • Review and verify all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Prioritise invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
  • Resolve supplier and internal queries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist in month end closing
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analysing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
  • Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Produce monthly reports
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Help with the preparation of cash flow and forecast
