Start your job searchThis is an exciting Accounts Payable opportunity to join a leading Retail company, based in the heart of London. Working in a Finance team of 12, you will be working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
The role will intially be a 3 month temporary position, with the possibility of then being made permanent.
The key duties of the role are:
- Review and verify all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Prioritise invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Resolve supplier and internal queries
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analysing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
- Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Produce monthly reports
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Help with the preparation of cash flow and forecast
