Start your job searchA technology company located in Central London is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their fast paced team.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with both Management Accounts and Accounts Payable functions:
- Assisting with the month end processes, such as accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of accounts.
- Assisting with cash flow forecasts and variance analysis, alongside year end duties where appropriate.
- Overseeing and regular maintenance of journals and journal entries.
- Helping execute Purchase Ledger functions, such as posting invoices and monitoring expense reports.
- Helping to prepare for relevant VAT processes.
- Executing ad hoc tasks to assist Financial Accountant where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge surrounding the Management Accounts and Accounts Payable processes. You must be a highly organised individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, preferably working towards a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA). Strong MS excel skills are also required and experience using an accounting system is essential.
