A global asset management company are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their London office. They employ 350 people throughout their 6 offices worldwide and have $65 billion assets under management.

This is the perfect role for an aspiring accountant who wants to lay the foundations in their accounting career, as this role will give you exposure across the entire finance function.

They are looking for someone who shows a solid interest in completing an accounting qualification as they will provide study support towards either ACCA or CIMA.

Responsibilities for Assistant Accountant include:

  • Month end accounting including accruals and prepayments
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register
  • Support for monthly management reporting packs
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing Group quarterly VAT return and other tax submissions

Requirements:

  • Must have graduated from University within the last 2 years
  • Must have at least 6 months experience working within a finance function
  • Must have at least 3 C's at A-Level
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
