Start your job searchReporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring all financial information is processed and correct. Duties include; completing accruals, prepayments, monthly managment accounting including budgetting forecasting and analysis, managing the daily cash flow, produce VAT returns, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensure the finance assistants work is correct and accurate, and help with any ad hoc duties when required.
This position is in a large team but their is still a family feel to the office environment with welcome and friendly characters all around. You will have at least 3 years experience within finance and be looking to take a step up. The ideal candidate will be studying towards an accountancy qualification and be comfortable working independently.
Duties:
- Preparation of timely management accounts and KPIs, ensuring appropriate accounting procedures and controls are maintained.
- Preparation of annual budgets and monthly re-forecasts, liaising with departmental managers to explain variances and offer constructive challenges where needed.
- Provide insightful analysis to direct attention to the areas of required focus.
- Operate a comprehensive contract/site costing system, providing monthly and year-to-date margin reports in a simple format that can be easily used.
- Assist with the preparation for the year-end audit and liaise with the auditors.
