CFO PE-backed International SaaS business
- Permanent
City of London, London
The details
Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a high-growth, International PE-backed SaaS business entering an exciting new phase of scale and value creation. With strong recurring revenues, increasing international reach and significant growth ambitions, the business is now seeking a strategic CFO to partner closely with the CEO and leadership team. This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to shape strategy, drive performance and play a key role in the next chapter of growth.
The CFO will take ownership of the finance function, providing commercial leadership, strategic insight and robust decision support. A key focus will be on further professionalising the finance capability, enhancing reporting and controls, and ensuring the business has the infrastructure, data and financial discipline required to support continued expansion. Working closely with investors, the Board and senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will help drive greater visibility around ARR quality, customer economics, pricing effectiveness and overall business performance. The CFO will play a central role in improving the quality of management information, embedding scalable processes and providing the commercial insight needed to support growth and value creation.
With the business continuing to expand its international footprint, particularly across the US market, the CFO will play an important role in supporting this growth. This will include ensuring appropriate financial oversight across multiple entities and providing guidance on the financial and tax considerations associated with operating across jurisdictions. Beyond finance leadership, this individual will be a trusted adviser to the CEO, contributing to strategic decision-making across revenue growth, investment opportunities, operational performance and potential M&A activity. The role offers significant exposure to a broad range of commercial and strategic initiatives within a dynamic, PE-Backed environment.
This opportunity will be suited to an experienced CFO seeking a high-impact role within a growth-focused, PE-backed business. Equally, the client is open to an outstanding and ambitious candidate ready to step into their first CFO position, provided they can demonstrate the calibre, leadership capability and commercial acumen required to operate at this level.
The ideal candidate:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
- Experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Commercial Finance Director, Divisional CFO, FP&A director, an ambitious Group Financial Controller within a SaaS, technology or technology-enabled business, with a strong understanding of recurring revenue models and the metrics that underpin ARR growth and performance.
- A track record of helping scale a growing business, building the processes, reporting and financial infrastructure required to support growth.
- The ability to combine financial rigour with commercial insight, acting as a true strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team.
- Experience presenting to Boards, investors and senior stakeholders, with the credibility to operate effectively in a PE-backed environment.
- Exposure to M&A and integration activity, together with the ability to assess and support strategic investment decisions.
- Strong cash flow, forecasting and financial planning capabilities within a fast-paced growth business.
- International and multi-entity experience, with exposure to US operations.
