Our client is a private-equity backed SaaS business in the North East of England. They are looking for a CFO to help lead the company through an exciting period or growth, scaling and expansion. It's operating in an exciting industry and fast changing market. This role will be an excellent opportunity for a candidate with the gravitas, energy level and demonstrable record of success in a similar role.

The CFO responsibilities will focus on growth, merger and acquisition programme that the company is progressing through. They will be responsible for standardising, accounting and reporting across all parts of the business both core parts of the business and acquired. Additionally, the CFO will need to develop controls and metrics to measure the success of this integration project in order to continue to grow the business. As a key member of the executive team you'll take full ownership for the financial and operational affairs of the business and be at the core of the company's continued success.

Externally, the CFO will be the critical contact with the Private Equity House and investors backing the company. They'll be reporting and presenting to these stakeholders as well. And as CFO, they'll be a leading member of the board. The role will also be central to planning the future growth of the company and realising the company vision.

The ideal candidate must have been a CFO in a private equity-backed business, preferably also having led the company's expansion and acquisition programme. You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA). It would give you an advantage if you have sector experience in a SaaS, but it isn't essential. You will need to be very analytical and have very close attention to detail to be successful in this role. You must also be able to communicate effectively at board and investor level. This role will be ideal for a strong and ambitious CFO.
