Marks Sattin are proudly partnering a global FMCG business in the Birmingham area who are looking to strengthen their team with a Commercial Finance Manager.

This is arguably the most exciting commercial finance role in the Midlands at this current time, working for a key player in the FMCG arena who strive for sustainable growth and want to further increase profitability. Key to their success is their people; who have a passion for their consumer brands, products and exhibit limitless entrepreneurial drive and resilience to help the business exceed it's goals.

As Commercial Finance Manager, your role will be to business partner the sales team to understand their customers financials, sales & profitability, paying particular focus on trade terms conditions and promotional spend.

You will be responsible for initiating actions with the sales team, challenging and supporting them in their business decision making process.

You will also challenge and support the wider UK business to ensure it has an effective and understood annual business plan with clear assumptions and drivers, backed up with high quality analysis.

Our client is known for it's friendly, supportive and highly collaborative culture. With core values of Care, Simplicity, Courage & Trust you can be sure to be working in an environment which allows you to drive your career through developing functional expertise, cross-functional experience and even working within some of their other affiliates across EMEA.

The Finance Director is one of the most engaging FD's I have ever met, they are Big 4 trained and have extensive experience within the FMCG arena including a 12 month secondment in HR where they learnt about 'Employee Engagement' which certainly shows in how they lead and develop the team.

A base salary of £52,000 - £58,000 is on offer along with bonus and other benefits.

With the Finance Director being Big 4 trained, there will be a natural lean towards Big 4/Top 10 trained candidates but this is not essential. You will however need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) to be considered for this opporunity.

Whether you have a technical background and have already cut your teeth in a commercial finance/finance business partnering role or seeking your first move into something more commercial - please do not hesitate to apply!
