Do you have experience as a Finance Business Partner and strong managerial skills? Marks Sattin are working with a business who are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join a fast growing business in Sheffield.

Main responsibilities:

  • Business partner with further finance function to develop and build strong relationships, ensuring that you are fully involved in their financials to drive growth and profitability
  • Be responsible for the management of 3 Finance Business Partners ensuring that the function receive the right level of financial input, support and challenge
  • Provide deep insight and challenge the businesses financials
  • Proactively highlight future performance concerns and opportunities to the Commercial & Finance Leadership teams and account teams
  • Monitor budgets and spend to ensure accurate postings. Review spend across business
  • Prepare quarterly product/customer forecasts and annual plans
  • Perform key tasks within the Commercial Finance team to ensure that reporting is both timely & accurate
  • Provide management with relevant financial information as requested
  • Complete ad-hoc financial analysis of projects to ensure sound financials are behind the decision making process
  • Work within the team to develop new tools & systems to improve the return on investment

Key requirements:

  • ACCA or CIMA with strong Academic background
  • Strong commercial awareness and previous experience of business partnering in a cross functional environment
  • Driven to take on additional responsibility in an organisation that provides a high level of autonomy with ambition to progress your career within commercial finance.
  • Proven track record of building relationships outside of the finance function with well-developed communication skills
  • Confident at challenging the status quo and both influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
  • A confident self-starter who uses their initiative and can work independently with little supervision
  • Entrepreneurial - help the commercial team develop new initiatives
  • Strong Managerial experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
