Leading FTSE organisation seeking Data Privacy Consultant. As Data Protection Consultant, you will support the implementation and management of the group's privacy and protection strategy and the rollout/creation of guidelines and procedures. Outstanding Opportunity.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Informing, advising and monitoring compliance with Data Protection Laws whilst maintaining appropriate policies and procedures, managing an assurance programme and related audits.
  • Perform Data Privacy Gap assessments, identifying risks and supporting remedial activities.
  • Leading and delivering in the following : Records of Processing, Privacy by design, education/awareness and DPRA's
  • Roll out of training to all staff raising awareness of Data Protection and fostering a Data Privacy culture within the firm.
  • Maintaining and Developing Internal relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the International, Global divisions with relation to network-wide data privacy initiatives.

Experience required

  • 5-10 years' experience in Data Protection with in depth understanding of the risks associated by large organisations.
  • In depth understanding of Data Protection Legislation and practical application of maturing privacy throughout the business.
  • Strong Data Analytics skills and experience working closely and collaboratively with business data analytical teams.
  • Sound Knowledge of IT with experience of embedding and implementing Privacy Operation Solutions, retention schedules and data processing assessments.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a view of supporting the business to fulfil all privacy requirements.
  • Recognised qualification : CIPP/E, ISEB, CRISC, CIPM, FIP, CIPT, IAPP
  • Experience as : Data Protection Director, Data Protection Officer, Data Privacy Officer, Data Privacy Director, Data Privacy Manager, Data Protection Manager, Information Governance Officer, Information Governance Manager, Information Compliance Officer, Information Compliance Manager, GDPR Global Lead, Privacy Counsel, Lawyer
