Privacy Manager - (Temporary Contract)

I'm currently working with a well known non-profit organisation that is looking to appoint a Privacy Manager to join its Legal Department on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a privacy professional with experience in UK GDPR and Data Protection who enjoys partnering with legal and business stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused privacy advice within a purpose driven organisation.

The role:

• Provide advice on a range of data protection and privacy matters across the organisation.
• Support the delivery of the organisation's privacy compliance programme and governance framework.
• Review projects, initiatives and business activities from a data protection perspective.
• Assist with compliance monitoring, risk management, audits and incident response.
• Support the handling of data subject rights requests and other privacy-related enquiries.
• Promote data protection awareness through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
• Work collaboratively with the Legal Department and stakeholders across the business to embed a culture of privacy compliance and best practice.

About you:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent legal qualification (or significant equivalent experience in data protection/privacy law).
• Must have IAPP CIPP/E qualification
• Experience advising on data protection and privacy matters within private practice, in-house legal, compliance function.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act
• An interest in working within a values-led non-profit organisation.
