Economic Analyst

My client, a multinational professional services firm, are seeking a highly motivated candidate at Executive Level to join their team and help continue their expansion.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work across a range of economic areas including; policy evaluation, impact assessment, forecasting, sectoral analysis and strategy and will work closely with all areas of the company to support clients. Other responsibilities you will have, but are not limited to are:

  • Solve complex problems in a logical and structured manner
  • Apply economic theory to public policy or corporate issues
  • Explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
  • Work as part of a team but also be disciplined to work on your own

About you

Ideal applicants will be highly numerate and analytical graduates of Economics, Finance, Business Politics, Geography or related subject with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in economics or a similar role. The ideal candidate will also have:

  • A keen interest in economic issues on the island of Ireland
  • Experience of economic impact assessment, cost benefit analysis, economic modelling, econometrics, business case development or policy evaluation
  • Interest in identifying new areas of business development and innovative solutions to complex problem solving

Executive level roles are full-time permanent positions and are not as part of a training contract. There is no requirement to complete accountancy (ACCA/ACA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams, though this can be considered if candidates wish to pursue accreditation.
