A fantastic 13 month contract available with an excellent organisation based in Cork. This will be a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a biopharmaceutical company with a great brand. Applicants must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA qualified with 6-8 year PQE.

Duties will include:

  • Lead for capital reporting liaising with site projects team to provide monthly reporting to site leadership on actual spend vs forecast, and analysis of any variances.
  • Liaise with the projects group on the closure of projects & identification of assets to be capitalised. Business partner with the Financial Services Centre Fixed Asset accountants to ensure that assets are capitalised on a timely manner.
  • Co-ordination with projects group to facilitate the capital project approvals both at a site & corporate level. Review all capital project submissions to ensure compliance with the corporate controller's manual.
  • Lead the capital forecast / budget process ensuring that all site & global time lines are met. Business partner with the site projects group to ensure that all site capital requirements are captured. Provide analysis to site leadership team on forecast variances.
  • Liaise with global finance group on site capital forecast submissions.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Accounting/ Finance / Business degree or MBA is required
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification is required
  • Minimum 6-8 years PQE essential
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of ERP systems and Reporting Tools eg. Oracle, Hyperion and OBIEE is essential
  • Experience on ROI analysis & exposure to OE metrics is a distinct advantage
