Finance Business Analyst - London

A global media company are seeking a Commercial Business Analyst on an 18 month fixed term contract starting ASAP. In this role you will provide business partnering support to the Commercial department as it embarks on a global transformation programme. There will be a dual reporting line for this role, primarily to the VP Finance Advertising Revenue based in our New York HQ but also the Head of Business Partnering London HQ.

This role will require the candidate to manage, monitor and report on all financials relating to several Commercial transformation, including but not limited to, Lead to Cash, Org Design and Commercial Enablement. They will own all on-going reporting as necessary in the absence of system derived reports, such as global key account summaries, pipeline reporting. In conjunction with the VP Commercial Finance in the US business and meet all criteria as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To pro-actively support London HQ Commercial team and delivery leads of Commercial transformation on all financial tracking and reporting matters.
  • To assist in the budgeting and forecasting in conjunction with delivery leads and the US finance team.
  • Track and report of spend within each of these in line with the monthly accounting cycle, and wider planning cycles.
  • Report on key commercial metrics as necessary, developing and owning ad-hoc and standard reporting in the absence of system derived reports. These will include sales pipeline activity, key account reports and various other market reports.
  • Liaise with the London HQ management accounts team for accurate month end recording and reporting of all financials, including accruals and prepayments as necessary.
  • Work with international markets to ensure alignment in reporting, including wholly owned and licensee markets. Build relationships with each key stakeholders in each market as necessary

Skills & Requirements:

  • Part-Qualified or equivalent accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience within a complex organisation.
  • Having an eye for the detail but being able to see the bigger picture of a requirement.
  • Establish good working relationships with staff
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Self-motivated, working on own initiative.
