Ideal experience:
- FS background
- Financial controller with possibly some FP&A/Finance business experience at times in the career
- Has done a lot of positioning of financial results and stakeholder management - need to be upward managing FD and the deliveries for the finance team rather than mico managing the team
- Understands RCSA/Sox type controls and need for transparency
- Run an audit process - need an audit file of reconciliations ready with key control sign offs
- Familiar with IAS accounting or demonstrable experience of picking things up very quickly
- Engaged with the need to drive performance
- Independent and confident to make decisions - make it happen
Responsibilities
- Month end close.
- Need to develop the reports to be more forward looking.
- Covenant monitoring for funders and they will need to build that process.
- Refine the cash forecast process and be responsible for a liquidity risk appetite that needs setting
- Set up the market risk appetite.
- Audit year end close.
- Bank relationship management.
- Accounting papers for audit committee prepared and process for AC set up
- Cost centre management - reporting and tracking into the budget.
- Expense management - policy update, tracking, approval.
- Set up a latest view process with the FP&A manager
- Management of 4 - 5 people
