Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working with an outstanding SME based in Chesterfield. This business was recently purchased by a large Global Group and have a vacancy for a Finance Manager. This role will initially be on a 6-9 month contract with the possibility of a permanent role after completion within this business or the wider group.
You must have experience in an all-round accounts role within an SME and will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Management reporting activities on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis to produce information for the board
- Cash flow reporting
- Chasing debtors, supplier liaison and spend reporting
- Dealing with auditors and preparing year end information
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Credit control for overdue customer balances
- Chasing missing invoices and purchase ledger credit notes
- Bank reconciliations
- Making UK and European payments
- Overseeing the posting of purchase ledger invoices
This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual with experience of working within a business going through change, to take ownership and drive the finance function of a fantastic business. You will have support of the Group CFO but should be able to work autonomously.
