Financial Accountant - Tech SME - Central London

3 month Temp to Perm role.

My Client, an exciting and rapidly growing IT firm are looking to add an energetic and experienced Financial Accountant to their team on a temp to permanent basis. This role will be focusing on VAT & Corporation Tax so strong previous experience in these areas is also a must. This is an immediate start so please do not apply if you are on a lengthy notice period.

Financial Accountant Job Purpose:
Preparation, examination and analysis of financial reports and records.

Financial Accountant Job Duties:

  • Multi- currency Balance Sheet reconciliations including investigation, balance substantiation and compliance with IFRS.
  • Weekly cashflow forecast and actuals, for 40+ multicurrency bank accounts, working with various Finance team members to ensure an accurate reflection of payments and receipts.
  • Preparation of monthly workings for Sundry Debtors, Accrued Income and Advanced Receipts.
  • Preparation of Financial Statements in line with FRS 102.
  • Preparation of VAT returns for the UK Group ensuring HMRC compliance and gradually taking over the VAT aspect of the finance team.
  • Miscellaneous analysis when required.

Financial Accountant Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified
  • Knowledge/experience with Multicurrency entities.
  • Strong Knowledge of FRS 102
  • Previous experience with VAT and Corporation Tax.
  • Analytical skills; advanced problem-solving skills; excellent attention to detail; advanced excel; multi-tasking abilities; interpersonal skills; communication skills, both written and verbal; organisation skills; time-management skills; investigative skills; integrity; honesty;
