Start your job searchA leading US Investment bank is searching for a Financial Controller to join on a 6 month contract. You will work within a well formed, dedicated and close team with excellent development opportunities. You will be part of a team that ensures the efficient closing of the month end process as well as strong controls.
The right candidate will come from a strong Banking background and must help maintain the reporting responsibility for this department. You will produce a constant commentary, understanding and analysing variances to be communicated to the Front Office in a clear manner.
A key part of your duties will involve communicating personally with the Risk, Ops and Finance teams. You will be strengthening and teaching these departments, especially in regards to the most formidable booking methodologies for manual migrations, brand new structures and downstream systems. This role will require you to use analytical and evaluation skills as well as communicating well and educating those around you.
You will need to be a qualified accountant with extensive experience in the Investment Banking space (particularly Equities) with a strong background in the month end process. It is essential you have a passion for maintaining controls and work well in a small team.
