My client, a Lloyd’s syndicate specialising within the marine and aviation market, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team and will be paying up to £350 per day for 6 months on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Oversight of preparation statutory accounts, FSA returns and VAT returns
- Accounting for portfolio and management transactions
- Consolidating and presenting the group monthly board pack
- Finalise audit of group companies and funds under UK GAAP
- Forecasting, budgeting and analysis
- Liaising with other arms of the business
- General ad hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or equivalent and will have come from a similar background with Lloyd’s market experience
. Experience within insurance is essential.
