Start your job searchA reputable global, media entertainment business based in Soho is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their central finance function.
Reporting in to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
- Management and leadership of the general ledger (GL) team including recruitment, performance review, coaching, training and development
- Ensure that deadlines are met, and the team is driven forward in an innovative way, improving processes and outputs.
- Annual planning for the team and managing the month end in the most timely and efficient manner.
- Put improved and more efficient processes in place to reduce the time taken to complete quarter ends.
- Ensuring that all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and coordinate key GL activities such as the Statutory Accounts process, audit process, controls testing, and preparation of tax packs reporting
- Drive consistency in policy and processes across the business
- Ensure validation of the journal postings for the business units are in full accordance with internal guidelines and tax regulations
- Leading the preparation of reporting packs including management reporting, intercompany, cash and half/ year end reporting.
- Additional tasks including financial projects, maintaining key stakeholder relationships and ad hoc reporting and analysis
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent, preferably with experience from a mid-sized corporation or mid-tier practice. Candidates should have experience in complex consolidations and inter-company transactions and is used to working in a controls-based environment and experience dealing with UK GAAP and IFRS. SAP software experience is highly desirable and strong relationship and team management skills are a necessity for this roe.
