Start your job searchAre you an experienced Depository Fund Accountant? Do you have 3 years plus experience in Fund Accounting? Are you looking for a challenging and diverse opportunity in South East area? If this is you, then this role could be for you!
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fund Accountant for a large Global banking organisation based in the South East. A 7 month contract opportunity with great rates for an experienced and capable candidate. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for Depositary duties outlined in the AIFMD and UCITS V regulations. You will be required to demonstrate a good knowledge of both regulations and a broad understanding of related activities. Knowledge of ownership verification duties incumbent on the Depositary would be an advantage.
Duties will include
- Performs routine duties and data analysis for mutual funds or separate accounts.
- Oversee various account reconciliations, research variances and correct as required, conduct verification of asset.
- Manage workload of the team that carries out reviews of client fund activity in order to determine ownership verification requirements.
- Ensure all agreements, statement and formal documents to evidence ownership rights are obtained from the AIFM/ManCo. and that copies of statements to perform ownership verification are received from relevant brokers.
- Demonstrate an understanding of all systems required for completing AIFMD / UCITS V ownership verification.
- Escalate any anomalies detected or queries that are outstanding in accordance with the AIFMD/UCITS V escalation process.
- Manage Client queries to ensure the highest level of service.
The successful candidate will have:
- Related Third Level Qualification e.g. Certificate, Diploma etc.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a funds industry role.
- Knowledge and experience of financial industry regulatory environment considered an advantage.
