Fund Controller - Hybrid - Specialist Private Credit Firm

Join a rapidly growing specialist private credit fund located in the heart of the London. Our client ais seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Fund Controller to join a high calibre, cohesive and friendly team.

This is a hybrid working arrangement, offering the flexibility to balance working from home and office presence and it's paying a competitive salary of £65,000-£75,000 depending on experience.

The role has arisen due to exceptional growth and represents an exciting opportunity for career advancement in a vibrant and supportive environment.

This role will suit either a candidate with relevant fund finannce experience in Credit, Direct Lending, Debt, PE, Lux domiciled closed ended funds, who are making their first move away from third party fund administrators or some making a second move away from another credit or private equity fund.

Role responsibilities
This is an important role in the fund finance team, with responsibility for some new funds which are being launched with slightly different strategies and will include:

  • Oversight of TPAs and managing the relationship to agree valuations related to credit and direct lending strategies.
  • Reviewing capital calls, distributions and equalisations
  • Modelling fund cashflows
  • Reviewing the investor reporting packs
  • Preparation and analysing the fund performance metrics
  • Contributing to the valuation process
  • Effective liquidity management to support operational needs and investment activities
  • Exposure to various fund structures and FX strategies
  • Excellent communication skills

Selection Criteria

  • You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA)
  • Proven experience with preparing the financials or controlling closed-ended, Lux domiciled, Private Credit, Debt or Private Equity funds. (fund accounting, fund controlling)
  • Strong technical knowledge of this asset class and fund structures
  • Experience from a fund administrator or another private credit fund is essential.
