The Company
A FTSE listed Technology and Media focused business with revenues in excess of £4bn, is recruiting for a Group Financial Controller on an initial interim basis. This is a highly visible role, working alongside the C-suite leadership team, which has the potential for permanency for the right candidate.
The Role
As the Interim Group Financial Controller, you will be:
- Deputising to the Group CFO and supporting the Group CEO on areas of financial control, performance and governance
- Wholly responsible for the financial reporting, corporate accounting and internal controls framework for the group
- Delivering statutory reports, under IFRS, and heavily involved in the investor reporting cycles
- Managing group costs and play a key role in the transformation of the organisation to achieve better more efficient processes
- Inputting in to the strategic recommendations to the CFO, wider leadership team and long term forecasts of the business
- Delivering on budgets and forecasts for the group, compiling Board reports
- Managing a sizeable team and ensuring the development of members along with cultural input to the business
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
- Have a proven and demonstrable track record within Group focused roles within large matrix structure and FTSE listed businesses
- Have prior PLC experience
- Be able to demonstrate strong technical ability in relation to IFRS and financial reporting
- Be able to deliver within a controllership based role, whilst adopting a strategic approach and value add mindset within an exciting multinational
