A pan UK organisation within the property services space is looking to hire a Head of Information Security to be based out of its prestigious offices in Central London.
The successful individual will be responsible for the creation of policies, standards, procedures and have oversight of security operations, as well as for the implementation of the IT Security Policy across the organisation.
As the role covers all technology areas, from user devices, building management and externally provided systems, the remit will also be to ensure that all of these technologies are appropriately secure.
This individual will also feed into the overall technology strategy and providing thought leadership for new and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all activities and functions involved with information security.
- Design and update the IT & Information Security Privacy policies and standards.
- Develop the group wide Information and Technology strategic security plan and program.
- Determine the most critical areas to address and ensure mitigating solutions are implemented.
- Manage a virtual team of staff, consultants and vendors
- Develop business cases for security initiatives.
- Plan, execute and evaluate security programs.
- Monitor security trends and legislation nationally and internationally.
- Be an ambassador for Information Security and Privacy related matters.
- Oversee security incident response planning and security breach investigations.
Required Skills
- Proven track record within a similar role
- Extensive experience of Information Technology with a solid background in information security and privacy protection
- Solid experience of technology services management.
- Strong experience of multi-agency or enterprise wide security solutions.
- Experience of managing information security in the cloud.
- Industry standard security qualification is essential
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles.
- Experience of big data environments and integration technologies is desirable.
