Start your job searchMy client is a Bermudan based Hedge Fund searching for a highly motivated qualified accountant to join their growing team.
This hands-on role will initially be focused on the accounting and financial reporting
for the Funds. The Senior Accountant will quickly become a significant
contributor on special projects for all entities, including the Fund. The position will appeal
to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing
priorities.
This role is based in Bermuda
Responsibilities Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for ----
- Financial statement preparation under U.S. and Canadian GAAP
- Budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, audit working paper preparation,
- Tax preparation, tax research, recording & reconciling transactions, payment of invoices and other ad hoc projects for the management company
- The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for completing special projects for the Fund.
Qualifications Applicants must at least have:
- Bachelors degree with a concentration in accounting,
- Professional accounting designation (e.g. CA, CPA), and
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in the financial services industry
in a similar role.
Experience in hedge fund accounting and equity settlements is considered an asset. The
ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment, with an accurate and meticulous
approach, is crucial. Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel & Word
is required.
